Ok, as suggested in a thread elsewhere, who likes old cars and who’s got or had what?

I always wanted an RS Turbo Escort.
Test drive one but the torque steer was terrible.
Almost bought a ford Orion gear instead.

Ended up with an almost new 1.4L Astra.

Loved it and thought I was the best thing since slice bread. I had 5 gears and could drive round town in 5th gear.
Oh how I thought I was cool.

180SX Type-X.
I stuck in an S15 drivetrain and 6-speed box and a few 300zx bits, but cosmetically it's standard.

It's not just arcade games with obsolete parts and silly prices - try maintaining one of (the last) of these.

Love it though, we'll never part.

Also got a red 1992 MX-5 I'll fix one day and drive around with the Ridge Racer soundtrack blasting out

Had a nice 944 porsche 15 years ago, thought it was the only time I'd be able to afford a half decent sports car, had it 5 years, never let me down once, great times.

2 great cars there Simon.Shinydaz2018-11-11 03:28:48

Had a 944 as well, great cars - so good to drive.

9 years of reliable motoring, took it to France, Belgium Orkney and Knockhill :)

Can still pick em up cheaper than a ford crapi in equivalent condition.

I always liked 944s but for some reason they have a bad rep.. price on them is rising too.

I also had a R5 GT Turbo a Clio Williams and a Nova SR.

Loved them all especially the GT Turbo which I spent a fortune on ,shame it was so unreliable but when it was going it was so fun to drive.trev19762018-11-11 09:10:11

Im itching to fully restore it but need somewhere to work on it.

Nice s2 rs turbo
Had my fair share of performance fords over the years built a few up from bare shells allways wanted a series 1 rs turbo or a thrèe door sierra cosworth
No chance now they are both going for close to 20k

But both would be quite slow by todays standards escort unmodified 1.6 cvh 130bhp unmodified sierra cosworth 2.0 about 205 bhp

I will try and find some photos out
Ive built some nice stuff
