depends on chassis but i would say leaky drive transistor

Does that result in an over voltage as a result of Leakyness ?
Which could be detected with a MM
Further down the curcuit?

you never pick up leaky diodes or transistors with meters, you just end up changing every transistor and diode on that circuit until you sort the fault

Yeh i tend to have always too much red
especially on one nanao I have
So I will remeber this..

Thanks gents, Grant i'll drop you a PM as i'll need this and my Sanyo/Sanyos looked at before xmas anyway.

So I did some more testing and tried the following:

Replaced entire neck card with one from a spare chassis and exact same problem
Replaced the entire chassis with the spare and exact same problem
Tried both chassis with spare remote board and cable and exact same problem

I should say that I do not know if that spare chassis/remote board is 100% but strange to get the exact same problem if it isn't the tube itself.

I have another Sanwa monitor in my NUC cab so going to try these chassis on that tube to know for certain if it is the tube itself.

SO... if it is the tube, which I suspect it is. What is the solution? Is it a case for rejuvenation? Or is there a fix to be made to the guns?

Does anyone near London/South East do rejuvenation and how temporary a solution is it?

from what I understand ( which is not a lot ).

carbon emissions can build up
Amd a fragment can fall off and create a bridge between guns.

The rejuvenator can burn the carbon away eradicating the short.

Your short could be between the other 2 colors reducing their intensity.
But I’m just thinking of different possible causes.

I have a tube with same issue and I have tried to look inside the kneck to see if I could see any sign of a short
