Spoof red gun

Lost red last night pentranic 19”been coming and going ..


Which is best way to test red gun ?
I have rejuvinator to look for short.

Are you sure it’s the red gun and not something on the neck pcb?

I’m hoping it’s cold solder
But it normally is ok in morning when cold ..

But now it’s Stayimg
blue ..

I’m lookomg for cold solder when I’m he on kneck card ..
Then resistor on red circuit

And cold solder on red circuit anywhere ..

But just thought I would go to rule out worst case scinario first .

Quickest way to check tube gun is swap the red signal in wires red with green or red with blue
If you get red grass on a footy game or red sky on a Wonderboy or similar? Then the red gun is probably ok and the fault is more likely to be a transistor or associated red circuit component on the neck card as suggested by qjuk above ….

Also just check the pins at signal in connector are securely soldered .

Signal in wires?
I’m using vga.

RGB wires are solderd onto neck card ..

Só I desolder red
Desolder green ,

Then swap green signal to
red input ? And I should say get green blood ?
My red gun is good ?

Grey wire coming from underside of flyback

Looks like G2 ..
Is this ok ? Something they did in factory to help ?
Or needs attention ..
Change resistor ?

Touched up them rings ..
It’s ok now ..
But I have got some other issues ..
I get like some issues when to much white on screen …
It jumps between a yellowy white and white ..
And I get some black lines from left to right in random places normally only for 5 min warming up then maybe once or twice now and then ..
