by the time you buy
-the gundam stick on yaj
-the 2x 5k pots (gundam are 1k),
-the new restrictor disk (gundam one is smaller, way more travel on them. Bigger discs are currently on arcade projects for interest check)
-the actual banana repro (only xed is doing a good repro but long long long long long wait)
-the amp
-the new mounting plate (as gundam plate doesn't line up with the monkey ball panel)
-the repro money ball panel

You must be well over the price of a real panel sells for.

Yeh but I asked them guys over a year ago .. just got a reply that they go on and off the project but work through the list when poss ..
And they offers refunds and I took my refund as I think I had about 50 or more folks in front of me

I’m now confused ..
I don’t know why I wired my analogue connector the way I have
IMG_6284.jpeg
Because I can’t remeber where I got the info from when I made this about a year ago..
but looking at Mirko on arcade projects
He is wiring it like this
IMG_6283.png
And he is using 7 wires ( I’m thinking extra blue wire is start button ?)

can anyone provide a pinout of the capcom analogue input.

I’m eager to rewire but
I don’t want to miss place the +5v.

I can’t find a pinout for capcom but lookiMy at Mirko pic it’s like for like with the sega analogue.

I wired with and with out amp pcb
Tonight and same fault
And I rewired the connector to io same as Mirko,
I have an issue with my stick I’m sure of it ..
I do have other analogue sticks so will
Try another stick tomo..

My issue is no forward & back wards
It did work once the first time I plugged amp pcb in and then after wards with our amp pcb it worked fine ..
Tried zombie revenge as well and same issue replicated in that game ..
? Did a pot just stop working ?

Have you stoped to think that the whole reason for all this is because there arent any panels for sale? And when there are they are usually sold before you even see it. Ive been looking for one (although not actively enough) for a decade or so now?

I got my original here around 2 years ago for £420. It was listed for a couple.of weeks and discounted.

I've all the parts for a few more repros but have spent more on them than the original. Just need the banana, restrictors and mounting plate.

Are u the real john bennett? Ive been speaking to alot of different john bennetts lately
I think I'm just the P2 version with the red T-shirt.

Anyway I did those boards for Arcade Art (nowt to do with that Dragonminded fellow, although it's nice if we came up with the same circuit).
I know naff-all about the monkey ball machine, but I can simulate the circuit etc if needed. I'm still reading that A.P. thread, trying to figure out why folk need to hack up their amps to cope with a different pot.

hi john ,
If you could remake the circuit I would be interested in purchasing..

Ah, if he's out of stock, and you think yours is broken, I'll take a look at it for nowt if you pay P&P.
I'm not sure how you kill them other than wiring it backwards.

Yeh I know. It’s possible.
I still have to try another config of Avcc
As soon as I’m home now I’m going by the planet Harriet wiring diagram

It's more like 5x than double.
It also does some offsetting and acts as a protection buffer.
Out of curiosity, what voltage goes to that amp? 5V or 12V?
The repro should be 1:1 with the original, including testing across a range of signal frequencies.
Forgive my ignorance on the topic, but with 5x, would that not place quite similar to a 1k pot (from 5k?). I guess the reason people are hacking things up is to keep everything ‘stock’ (with incorrect pots), without understanding exactly what the amp board does to the analog input profiles. Of course offset (not sure about that) and protection buffer (self explanatory I hope).
My understanding was the amp board helped with fine scale adjustments around the neutral position (where they are needed most for precise control)…
