This is an epically interesting thread. Nice one. Keep the interesting things coming.

Building a money making machine.

Adding System24 to my test rig, so I can finally provide people out there with replacement floppy disks as I am tired of seeing people asking and getting nowhere - get the NOS masters is a bit more tricky. ;)

Galaxy Force project.

Still need to finish of the Star Wars Arcade - but it's fully playable and working for now, just need to build up a few extra spare PCBs.

The sleep microwave - 1minute in there is like 1hour of real sleep..

Full code reversal/analysis of main/sub CPU code of Bally Midway licensed version of Pac-Land

Do you think this will assist you in code reversal of other Bally Midway games? I would love to see some work done on the arcade part of Bally Midway Baby Pacman. I think the downside to the game for some people is that the maze part is rock hard, and not very playable

Restoring and continual maintenance of the Virtuality Machine.

Rebuilding a Frankenstein Sega Racer - Indy 500 in a Touring Car cab, and a Daytona Steering wheel.

working on a Second VR machine, as a test bed for other games and testing link up. Ultimatley to be used as an Exorex game machine.

Replica of Johnny Five, from Short Circuit. An international team project, that`s slow, expensive, but sure!

Also, designed a 1/4 Scale J5 robot, that some parts have been made - I need some more either 3D printed or machined.

Sega Hang-on Cab rebuild. I have the Cab, and the PCB`s.. but they have not met each other yet as the PCB`s are here, and the Cab is at the Retro Computer Museum.

Many more lil projects too.....

As for the ones listed above, I`ll be putting up posts to show progress when I can!

Arranging a small run of reproduction Space Harrier Dlx Motor Drive PCBs with a member on here. These PCBs never come up for sale and if they die, your Dlx cab will no longer.....well, 'Dlx', so I've decided to try to have maybe 10 PCBs made and buy the parts + self assemble.

We are at the "Draw the PCB design in CAD" stage, plus I've ordered a couple of the rarer chips.

There won't be anything until the new year but planning very loosely, I'd like to get a prototype built to prove it can be done, test it in my Dlx and then open it up to interested Dlx owners.

It wouldn't really assist in the reversal of a completely different genre of game but code reversal is code reversal and when you've been doing it for nigh on 30 years, like I have, you can reverse pretty much anything if you have the time, inclination, instruction set of the CPU/MCU you're reversing and ideally a memory map too. The latter two are available for Baby Pac-Man, it's the first two (especially the first one!) that are the not as easy to find!

What are you wanting adding to the game? Power pills to make the maze part a bit easier presumbly? If so then one approach would be to reverse the power pill handling code from Pac-Man (or adapt the power pill handing code from Pac-Land which will likely be similar), convert it to suit the different CPU and then inject the resulting code into the Baby Pac-Man roms (assuming that there's some room left in them).

Just about anything is doable, it's all a question of time and inclination.

I have 2 System II cabs that need to combined and create a restored Paperboy
I have a Jamma Cab fresh ready to become a MAME cab

......and a huge pile of Outrun bits for the day I find a fixer upper.

That said everything is sitting in the games room, which needs completing first and somesort of electrical power supply set up, thats not going to happen until late November, so imagine the cabs will sit there until next summer, its dark when I leave for work, dark when I get home, just nooooooooo time for anything.

Interesting, somebody needs to-do this for Galaxy Force/G-Loc.

I think those French guys are well into reverse engineering a lot of it though.

Lots on the go, but spare time is at a premium at the moment.

In no particular order:

- Replace locks, buttons and sticks on SF2 branded EC Spectrum, add kick harness, plug in SF Zero 3 board

- Replace CPO on EC Xenon MAME cab with one of Muddy's repros, add one of the fantastic marquees I also got off Muddy.

- SCI Cab; Replace gearstick with correct 'stay in position' type, fix MTC9000 monitor hold issue or fix spare 900E. Replace smoothing cap I accidentally knocked on PCB

, Investigate why steering shaker not working, fix if possible.

- Outrun Sitdown Deluxe - Fully strip down, get base powdercoated, get car body shop to spray body panels, get 2 x Outrun PCBs fixed by retorclinic (1 for my midi as well). Source missing brake light cover. Apply blind hope that motor drive board works (Jodo - interesting....) Gradually reassemble in games room as it won't fit through the door. Pray I never move house and never have to move it again..

After finding the two earliest Space Invaders romsets I decided to research Space Invaders properly, picking apart and finding out what pcbs, versions of roms used, licenses and and the chronology. Also updating mame with the findings as i go along, but will have a proper website up eventually. (there is no established provable story, its a complete mess of pcbs, versions, labelling and lack of concise documentation)

My to do list isn't at exciting, but hey...

Fit a new LOPT and Cap Kit to my sanwa monitor.
Get an ITX PC with Black magic pro fitted into the lower part of a cashbox so I can record gameplay footage from Naomi.
See whats involved getting mame racers working with another CP without modding anything on my ID cab, and then simply swap CP/cables when I want to play M2 emu etc.
See if it's viable to hack/modify a steering wheel CP and turn it into a Joystick CP, I'm not sure if the position will be comfortable tho.
Stop eating too much cheese and too many of my Mom's flapjacks, not at once I may add.

Cheers.
