Not specifically aimed at you Morty, but you post has triggered a general observation on my part on comments that I'm seeing everywhere, in every blog post all over the web.
I'm not entirely following why everyone's saying that they thought it should have been cheaper! OK, obviously I'm not a millionaire so I wish it was too but it's already cheaper than the iPad.
iPad without cover = £479 for 32GB.
Surface without cover = £399 for 32GB
That's a good chunk cheaper and you can add a 64GB SD card as well if you want to and 32GB isn't enough (though Oll tells me that's not for Apps, but movies, videos and so on).
Not trying to stick up for it - it'll succeed or fail on it's own two feet, I'm just not entirely understanding the massive wave of people suggesting it should be cheaper.
I think I'd prefer one of the 'Pro' models or a laptop / tablet hybrid too but I weighed it up the other night and thought about why I really wanted that and came to the conclusion that it was for gaming mostly. And the pro is only going to have an integrated HD4000 GPU and I know that won't really cut the mustard for my gaming needs so I figured to hell with it
