Cheers guys. Just need to get the internals finished. I'm about 1/2 done on that

It's finding time to clean up all the metal parts that have rusted

I'm still hoping I can get it finished for its 2 year anniversary in October.

Sorted out the monitor frame today. The frame was loose and rusty when I got it, so it has been recoated in silver. The big problem I had was fixing it in place. It was loose because a previous owner had forced the incorrect bolts into the frame, and damaged the thread and the bolts.

I really struggled to work out what size tap I would need to fix the threads. The US thread sizes are so complex!

Anyway Virtvic came to the rescue, and not only identifed what I needed, he also supplied the taps for free to fix the frame! Top man! Thank you for your help

So I tapped the threads this morning, and securely fixed the frame in place with some spare US bolts. I also checked the frame was still grounded after recoating it.

Not posted about this for a while but have been making some progress.

I've now changed the ballast on the lighting marquee to 50mhz so it should last longer than a 60mhz

Also, pretty much done all the main polishing of the rusted parts

Fixed some wiring issues, due to some hacking into the main power switch wiring.

I'm hoping to get this finished in the next two weeks. Monitor is almost ready to go back in. Then I can replace the glass etc

Then it is time to do some testing to see what works and what doesn't!
