I have been working on the internal wiring on and off. Before I started putting in the jamma wiring loom I tested the AC wiring and had the marquee fired up along with the switching PSU where I checked DC voltages and everything looks how it should.

From this picture I just to need to finish this list:

Common ground distribution block to switching PSU. Need to solder / heat shrink black ground signal wires to make the length of this run.
Earth to coin door and control panel latches. Earth has been run to every other metal part within the cabinet. -- Monitor cage, marquee plate, speaker brackets, coin box bracket, each component in the power block.
Solder / heat shrink speaker wires. Factory disconnect plug further up by monitor out of shot.
Solder / heat shrink wires from jamma loom into video singal cable connectors.
Everything coin door and control panel related needs wiring. The big bundle looped front and center in the photo.
I am planning on getting 1 - 4 done then plug everything in a test with the Black Tiger PCB to see what the monitor does.

Looking at this photo there is certainly a part of me which says all of this is very wrong and I should get original parts. The truth to it though is that would take a lot more money and patience - This cabinet owes me a game of Defender big time. I am mounting the game PCB on the right side of the cabinet so if/when I get the original game boards on the metal plate I can mount that on the left side as it was originally.

Small update. Got my soldering iron out to connect up the video signal and speaker wires. That just leaves me with everything control panel and coin door to wire up.

I applied power to the monitor and nothing, no neck glow, nothing on screen. I am thinking this means the monitor chassis needs a refurbish job. This is beyond my skills and the tools I have available, so I'll be sending it out for repair.
